Tatup is Delphine & Nirvân’s professional project as well.(1)
Delphine SANDNER, freelance illustrator, working for the youth press editors is known as "Chklé" (2), her artist name. Since 2012 she has been learning the sign painting, a growing scarce craft in France and Europe, because of the digital printing techniques. She is curious about all kind of fine art.
Concerning Nirvân SANDNER, he has been a seller in a motorbike shop for 4 years until he chose to change completely his skills. He learned the trade of the ancient traditional French bakery to make of it his new job (3).
TATUP is the incredible mix of these two far-off passions in which the travel makes the link. In this sense TATUP constitutes a contrasting concept.
Aware their followers aren’t only sign painters and bakers, Chklé & Nirvân tried to emphasize their blog posts with all the creative content they enclosed trough both illustrations and photographs.
Now they tried to grow TATUP up to a little company : a bakery. And some day in the future, what about a world bread restaurant, an art gallery within ?
TATUP is an acronym sounds good, easy to remember. In French it didn’t seem like every hairdresser sign pun in France.
Up to now, two official acronym have been selected :
Traversée Au Tour dU Pain
ET
Terre Aux Traits d’Un Pinceau
Means :
Experience the world of bread
AND
World under a paintbrush
