Want to grab a bite? Have you considered the Bombay Fast Food?
Prepare right before your eyes, now here’s a sandwich with style!
It’s a bit more than 800 km from Mumbai (formerly Bombay) that we came across this curious vehicle and its young owner.
They can be found around the Clocktower plaza, in Jodhpur.
More than just the food (odd, I know!), it’s the vehicle itself that caught my attention.
The vehicle is a mobile stand with a built in griddle, constantly heated by coal. The kind of vehicle giving nightmares to vehicles inspector!
Don’t expect much choice here: One type of sandwich is on display, made with curry panir ( typical Indian cheese made from buffalo milk)
You get to pick the chosen one (the sandwich, not Harry Potter nor Anakin) through the glass. The owned then puts it on the griddle, while you expectantly wait, drooling a bit.
He then cuts it, adds coriander and minced onions, and finally serves it in a (paper) plate!
Soo..we ate it so fast we didn’t even take a picture of our Chosen Ones. I strongly advise for you to just go there and try it yourself, if you happen to be in the area. At a measly 15Rs (0.19€) you won’t be taking huge risks.
It looked a bit liked this, only picture it with an artistic blur, served on a plate with beautiful colors.
